Observatories of the Seas Ontology (OSO) is a semantic framework designed to describe marine observatories, research infrastructures, regional facilities, sites, platforms, organisations, cruises, and related observing activities.
It supports FAIR data management, semantic interoperability, and integration of information related to marine observing systems, with a particular focus on EMSO ERIC.
This release (v1.2.0) introduces a clearer publication architecture with the separation of the ontology schema (TBox) from its instance data (ABox), together with dedicated SHACL shapes for structural and semantic validation. It also improves consistency between the ontology, knowledge graph and validation layers, enriches semantic modelling and metadata, updates DCAT and VoID descriptions, and facilitates reuse by ontology registries, semantic tools and FAIR assessment services., Ontology describing marine observatories (Regional Facilities, Sites, Platforms) to support FAIR data management and interoperability, particularly in the EMSO ERIC context., Ontología que describe los observatorios marinos (infraestructuras regionales, sitios, plataformas) para apoyar la gestión FAIR de datos y la interoperabilidad, especialmente en el contexto de EMSO ERIC., Ontologia care descrie observatoarele marine (facilități regionale, situri, platforme) pentru a susține gestionarea FAIR a datelor și interoperabilitatea, în special în contextul EMSO ERIC., Ontologia que descreve os observatórios marinhos (infraestruturas regionais, locais, plataformas) para apoiar a gestão FAIR de dados e a interoperabilidade, especialmente no contexto do EMSO ERIC., Ontologi som beskriver marine observatorier (regionale fasiliteter, steder, plattformer) for å støtte FAIR datastyring og interoperabilitet, spesielt i EMSO ERIC-konteksten., Οντολογία που περιγράφει τα θαλάσσια παρατηρητήρια (περιφερειακές υποδομές, τοποθεσίες, πλατφόρμες) για την υποστήριξη της διαχείρισης δεδομένων FAIR και της διαλειτουργικότητας, ιδιαίτερα στο πλαίσιο του EMSO ERIC., Ontologia che descrive gli osservatori marini (infrastrutture regionali, siti, piattaforme) per supportare la gestione FAIR dei dati e l’interoperabilità, in particolare nel contesto EMSO ERIC., Ontologie décrivant les observatoires marins (infrastructures régionales, plateformes) pour soutenir la gestion FAIR des données et l’interopérabilité, notamment dans le cadre d’EMSO ERIC., Ontologie décrivant les observatoires marins côtiers et hauturiers, incluant l’ensemble des observatoires EMSO, dans le cadre de l'infrastructure européenne multidisciplinaire dédiée aux fonds marins et à la colonne d’eau.
